maybe that would have been more your speed.
There's nothing wrong with trappings on their own. Who doesn't like nice things? Who wouldn't make believe for a little bit that they're in fact a little more posh than they could ever pull off for an extended period of time. It's nice. It's predictable. It has every convenience. And for vacation, that can be nice; as if we don't already have almost ever convenience.
If you like to live in the real world and experience other peoples' real world's as your own or to push yourself, which it seems you do, then it's not your cup of tea. But I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.
