To judge Chinese Opera by what we had seen in Chengdu and Beijing, one can be forgiven for thinking that the term was a rough mistranslation. The thought of people we know still doing fire tricks as senior citizens is a giddy one.

Seriously, one of my favorite things in the world is seeing old people still being active. Whether it's 70 year old randonneurs still being badasses on a 200k or grandparents tearing up a dance floor at a wedding, it's all great and gives me a future to aspire to.
