FengSwish1 at Liquid Hair Studios has been my hair stylist since 2001. It seems like a terribly non-heterosexual male thing to have a stylist as opposed to a barber, but that's just the whole gender/identity politics thing getting in the way. i may as well be bald, for all the attention (or lack thereof) that i give my hair, so i don't have much to offer on the first part.

however, the more i think about that court decision, the more impressed i am that something like that can happen, in this country, and in this political climate. the more consideration i give it, the more courageous it seems, and i greatly admire that.

so amen to your "rock on".

Yeah, that's part of the reason why I wanted to point out the text, because it's not just a great decision, but the way in which it's articulated is really commendable. It doesn't read like a loophole interpretation but a great statement of the way society should work.

definitely. reading the text (which i downloaded yesterday at work), you can tell how thoroughly considered a decision that actually was, how precisely conceived and articulated -- almost as if they were fully aware of the ramifications and decided to make the most of the opportunity by really driving a knife into the heart of traditionalists and conservatives. parts of it are rather eloquently expressed. moreso than one might anticipate from a legal document, at least.
