Yes, your cousin is right. If you plug your iPod into another comp that its not registered for ALL songs will erase! But if you are gonna transfer your iPod onto another comp make a copy of all your playlist that are currently on your itunes (cause you cant copy them from the iPod itself), put them into another folder and put the folder into the new computer. Then all songs will be ready to inport into your iPod.

Trust me, this happend to me before. I learned this the hard way lol

No prob, if your gonna get a laptop try and get a MAC. Its so much easier to use than windows, plus the fact that iPods are apple products the'll go right together. If you got any questions just ask.

True, I was thinking of a MAC and I had used them all the time in Oxbow, but I'm so used to Windows that I'm like puzzled with MAC now. Plus the fact that my iPod is connected to my Windows right now, so it's not a biggie transfering it over.
