It’s kind of funny how a simple touch can so much. How the lightest brush of cool fingertips against warmed skin can be filled with every sentence that can’t or won’t be said aloud.
Touch was the only thing Peyton and Haley needed to communicate with each other, the only way Peyton knew that Haley lived only to be beside her and the only way Haley could tell that Peyton was hers and hers alone.
So while Nathan may have had Haley’s smiles and Lucas may have had Peyton’s words, their touches, the ones that whispered ‘I love you’ with complete certainty, were reserved only for each other.
