It is time for you to laugh at me. Laugh very hard.

I have locked myself out of my condo. Fortunately for me, aureliapriscus is not home and asleep, as I had feared, but it as her parents place doing a computer thing for them. This is very good, because if she had been asleep, I'd be out here in the hallway (I followed someone into the building) all night. ( Read more... )

On my first morning in my new apartment, I managed to lock myself onto my second-story balcony. I eventually flagged down one of my neighbors who was walking his dog and dropped my key down to him; he unlocked my door, then forced his way past the security chain and let me in from the inside.
So...yes, I'm laughing a little bit, but mostly it's in relief that other folks do equally doofy things. :D

Oh yes, we definitely all do these things! I've had to help friends climb onto the roof of their garages and into second story windows after locking themselves out on more than one occasion. *g* One wonders, sometimes, about the stories locksmiths have to tell.
