GIP: More Steve/Tony

As I was reading the Captain American issues that harmonyangel provided for me, I ran into an image that demanded to be made into an icon. I couldn't do it until I had a free minute at work, though, because I still haven't figured out graphics editing on MikeBook (my Mac).

But I had a second today, so I present my newest Steve/Tony icon!

Oooh, shiny.

I love that issue. I'm fairly certain Steve and Tony had sex in the back of that plane on the way back from the mission. It would certainly explain Tony's undone tie and rumpled shirt. And why poor Sam was so pissed off afterward.

I bounced with glee when Tony showed up to help Cap. *g* And then I bounced in more glee when he was so upset that he couldn't go with them. They way it was written, it was obvious to me that if Steve had said, "I need you. Come help anyway." Tony would have done it and to hell with the risk of losing his company.

And I loved that Steve understood and didn't insist that he do that.

Bwa ha ha! *grins* Or at least did some serious making out. *snickers* I get the feeling Sam doesn't much like Tony and doesn't understand why Cap does like him. But that's not unusual when it comes to Tony...

See, the problem is that poor Sam is also totally in love with Steve, and he does not understand at all why Steve tolerates Tony. Whenever I hear Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" song, I think of Sam.

I think it's likely that everyone is at least a little bit in love with Steve.

Also, the post you linked to made me laugh, because it's so true! Poor Sam. But I wouldn't change things; Steve and Tony = OTP forever. *g*

Yup! I loved that issue. I especially loved how obvious it was (to me, at least *g*) that if Steve had asked, Tony would have gone with Steve and helped him, despite what it would have cost Tony personally.

Thanks for your comments on the icon! Interestingly, the dark red is just the color of the scene--I didn't tint at all. I actually had to brighten the image to make the figures clearer at this size. And I had to edit out a computer screen, because the brightening made it glow so much it totally dominated the icon. I'm not much of an icon editor, but the clone tool is a wonderful thing. *g*

It's a wonderfully slashy issue. *happiness* I love that they crossover into each other's titles so regularly. Benefits of both of them having such a long association with the Avengers. :-)
