Fortune cookies could stand to be a little more cryptic, a little bolder.
Being merely vague doesn't lead to exciting realizations. Well maybe...
People like to add "in bed" to spice it up.

It would have freaked me out if I got a fortune that said;
"There is time travel in your future."...
To which I would have replied...
"IN BED!!"

"A spider waits for it's prey" is a good fortune. Along the lines of "Live in interesting times". "Never pet a burning dog" is my favorite, though I can imagine it would be quite common. "You are on the way to destruction." "IN BED!!"

So you put it inside of a small egg bubble, inside of the food? Busy eating your breakfast, and you dig in, and "Waiter, there's an egg in my omelette!" "Mais oui, monsieur."
You open it up, and it says "Did you know? Of course you did."

It's rather disenheartening when you collect "Let go of your potential", or "You can depend on the trust of the collective.". And I know it always cheers me up when I come across "You wink and suggest 69, but your date wants #56, the sweet and sour pork"...

For some reason, I think I'd hate to find an Orz Fortune! "Hello! Now you are happy, I am sure!" or "You are silly camper. But you already know!"

Beware of Killer Cyborgs from the future who wish to squash the human rebellion.
Orz Fortunes would be great.

Perhaps someone close to you will jump up in front, creating a degree of frumplicity.
Frumplitude? Frumpleness?

The fortune must be so people will not eat it.
Perhaps special chambers could be put into plates.
Or keep it as a side dish but make the cookies more appetizing.
