The Catholic church prohibits all forms of active birth control. So that leaves Natural Family Planning, aka the Rhythm Method, as their only alternative. While that sight tries to claim that it is something different, it is merely the same old, ineffective, thing. Outside of religious groups, and religious people hiding their motivations while advocating NFP, you will not find anyone claiming that it is as effective as modern birth control, much less use the numbers this sight does, which makes it look better than the majority of modern birth control. This is because unlike how the scientific community studies these things, they throw out any cases where the people using the NFP make any mistakes.

Roman Catholics, on the other hand, know NFP will only slow the rate a women pops out kids, it will not allow someone to actually avoid pregnancy long-term.
