i chose to exit the bus from the front doors (although it was slightly crowded). so that i could inform the older lady (who was blind) that she had a very cheerful smile that just made my day.
to which she responded, with that day altering smile, "why, thank you."
in retrospect, as i now reflect.. am i a creep?

you're all right.
and i believe that i felt so compelled to say it due to her lack of sight. i mean it's not like telling the girl who practices in the mirror for 40 minutes a day to have a great smile that it's made your day because they already know. i was under the impression this woman doesn’t even realize just how great that which she has is. and i feel that deserves reminding. i hope that i was able to act as her mirror for the day. no matter how it made me look to everyone on that bus.
