However, there is some nice fic in the comments of this thread here. It will take some scanning through a lot to find the Uhura/Spock ones, though; I know there are at least two good ones and likely more, but I can't remember where they were exactly.

Please! Please! I’m begging you. I want a good Spock and Uhura fic so bad, especially based on the movie
