create a "custom friends" group with http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml and put whoever you want to read the selected post into that group, and then when you make the entry, where it says "public" "friends" and "private" there should be a 4th option "custom" and you can pick which group of friends can view that entry.
