back of the raft. the raft was upsidedown of course and I was hitting the bottom of it which was above my head and the sides which were all around me, could not breathe, could not get out of it, water churning. very afraid as I was running out of air and trying not to panic too much in the state I was in, I was finally able to reach my arms behind

I've had nightmares about that exact scenario, oak springs and all. scary stuff. Glad you're still alive!!! come skating with me some time. :-)
