I think it was Emily who was supposed to be bisexual (or a lesbian, I can't remember).
I just feel like CM won't go in that direction. They've lost enough viewers; they aren't going to risk losing more by introducing a "controversial" romantic sub-plot (regardless of how I, or you, or anyone else feels about the absurdity of such controversy).
They said something similar about Prentiss, yes, that they were not sure "she was straight". But they also said the original plan was for Reid to be bi, but TPTB were not crazy for it and introduced the JJ+Reid+Football plot thinking that would make it clear Reid was straight. They clearly don't know what bi mean.
Really sorry I don't have the sources.
And I do agree, "controversial" things such as "gay relationships with a main character" are too much for a show that talks about such light things as women being raped, and women being tortured, and women being forced to swallow acid, and women being forced into slavery and prostitution, and women being forced into BDSM, and children being raped, killed, cut appart and then burried in the woods... The sarcasm is directed to TPTB, BTW, not you, I see your point.
They are not going to give a same-sex love interest to a main character. Though the Maeve storyline has some similarities, this isn't a Joss Whedon show.
I know. Finding male gay characters in cop shows is virtually impossible. I have a theory that slash was born with cop shows because people got so frustrated :P JK of course. I think there has been one or two lesbians, though.
Still, one can hope. What is one more tv heart break for a Downton Abbey fan?

They really need to end this season in an interesting and light way.
