Unsubs / It's That Guy! - Jim Parson needs to play an unsub

Dec 15, 2011 22:08

I know we have some crossover fans since both Big Bang Theory and Criminal Minds are nerrrrrrrrd shows, so gosh darn it, tell me I ain't the only one who thinks Jim Parsons need to get in here and play the unsub of the week?

ETA: Click on the cut and highlight to read spoilery quotes, it's from last week's BBT episode:

As someone who watches both BBT and CM, I think Jim Parsons playing an unsub on CM is an interesting idea, but I would really appreciate if you wouldn't post spoilers for BBT in a CM community. I don't know that there is a "rule" against this in this community, but it would be courteous of you to at least warn for spoilers or place them under a cut, given that you are talking about the most recent episode of BBT. Thank you.

It was last week's, but eh, spoiler covered now.

I was a BBT fan first, and the first I've seen of Spencer Reid's name is somebody shipping him with Sheldon! ????? (um, asexual?)

I would love to read the crossover where the BAU goes over and uncover Sheldon as having been secretly a serial killer for years, lol. There is actually a prompt at the recent BBT meme that wonders if Sheldon's obsessive cleanness was an "out damn spot" sort of thing, and it's been filled:

Sheldon kills a mugger and covers it up

Jim Parson would be the scariest unsub out there gsyh December 16 2011, 04:39:09 UTC
The scariest! More than Wesley Crusher, more than that Dawson Creek guy.

Cause like, he's that guy you make fun of for being such a nerd, the OTHER nerds make fun of him, he's annoyingly fussy, but he's harmless right? He's so sexually non-threatening, and he does look like he'll fit into a locker, though you might have to bend his head down first.

...and Parson's character in BBT just gets this Muffled Rage look on his face that is just absolutely wonderful, and in the context of CM, absolutely creepy.

Warning: The linked story contains non-con and kidnapping and murder, plus Spencer doing all that, and one of the victims was a member of the BAU

She would, I remember her from Interview with An Vampire (where as a KID she did an excellent job!), and Spiderman.

We need more female unsubs, I don't care if it's uncommon (although, THINK ABOUT IT: maybe there are less female serial killers that we know of because they are more careful / the officials don't suspect them - Karla Homolka got off lightly even though I think she was actually the dominant killing partner...).

I know she can play scared from Spiderman, and I know she can play scary from Interview With A Vampire: she was just a kid then but her character frequently spooked me out ( ... )

I think Kirsten Dunst could pull off playing someone like that, a WASPy character who inherited unhealthy traditions from the generation before, that many might find socially acceptable, and then turned it definitively gruesome.

In short, a Muggle equivalent of Bellatrix Lestrange.

The contrast and parallel between Bellatrix and Narcissa were interesting, Bellatrix took the hate to the extreme and she ends up in jail, and therefore no longer a member of Respectable Society, but um, Narcissa shares the same views, pretty much, she just wasn't willing to die or fight so much for them.

What I like about Criminal Minds is how often the unsubs aren't the only bad guys, they are just the most criminal manifestation. In "The Middle Man", the father of one of the serial killer/rapist, a police chief, pretty much said that sex industry workers deserve to be abused, dunno if he did it himself (hey, maybe he didn't kill one, but he could have committed a rape he didn't recognize as a rape), but well, can we, or he, realllllly be surprised at how his son turned out?
