oh dear god so tired. but hey, remember this post? it was from the last time i worked at the races. i was upset because... i handle a lot of cash, and at the end of the day, i was short by about $98. which, needless to say, was extremely sore since that's pretty much half a day's work gone. today, i was short by $1.05. so hey, i'm getting better! i ( Read more... )

Wow, you're getting better at it then! That's good. Keep up the good work!

Sometimes my player is like that too: it chooses to play a song like 50 times when some of the other songs haven't even been played yet :\

... It's scary how PSYCHIC music players can be. >.>;; But that's such a nice song, and all of his songs are good relaxing brain-fog songs. I wonder why the universe is so entertained by messing with people's song shuffles. :|

maybe you were affecting it with your PSYCHIC MINDBEAMS. (i'm turning into such a hippie, bloo. D: soon i'll be like my mom, and attempting to bend spoons with my mind/energy. which, she actually can do. we now have a bowl of pretzel-spoons at home.)

has the universe messed with yours before? XD

MAYBE I WAS. SHUT UP. YOU WISH YOU HAD MUSIC-SELECTING PSYCHIC MINDBEAMS. >.>;; I have a mental image of your mother sitting at a table and twisting spoons into strange shapes, then dropping them into a bowl for a collection.

Pretty frequently. D: It used to do it more often at Ramapo with Angela, when it would play Dahlia's creepy theme music at the most appropriately creepy times.

oh god, that reminds me of this one time, i had this eerie thought that i was secretly mutating into a part-robot because every time a song ended, a bit of another random song would play in my head-- and then the song would actually start playing on my music player. D: ... also, that is not an entirely inaccurate mental image. the next day, i had to buy new spoons.

AHAHAHAHA WHAT. would it start playing every time she walked into the room or something? XD i can't suss out which is worse-- that, or a music player doing that BLAHBLAH, BLAHBLAHLEE, LEMON TREE, SEPHIROTH!! song upon someone's arrival.

That is not a job I could handle. Gotta give you props from that, but how the fuck do you come up short? O.o

ohh, so many ways. D: the main one being that you miscount, or accidentally grab too many bills (like, two $10s instead of one-- i've done that before, but i noticed it and corrected myself before i handed it over). you rarely ever go short by much there, though. the one that really kills you is if you forget to press this one, single, SERIOUSLY important button on the keyboard. say if you hafta pay out $100 to someone, and then forget to press that button-- the computer adds the $100 onto the next guy you hafta pay out. so maybe that guy won $98, but because you forgot to push the button, the computer tells you to pay him $198. you're handling customers NON-STOP, so you're exhausted and don't notice your mistake, and then the end of the day rolls around; you do a cash balance, and... voila. $100 short. :\ it's really easy to make that mistake because it easily slips your mind 'cause of all the mental calculations you already hafta do, but when you make that mistake you suffer such horrendously huge repercussions. D:
