so far it's really funny! there was another austen-centric book that i saw; an austen 'choose your own adventure' story? like you'll have pages of text and then at the end a question: "do you wanna do A or B; if A then turn to page 330, and B then turn to page 410". i'm not a fan of austen so i didn't buy it, but i think it's pretty clever and will entice younger audiences to read austen's books.

XD because the first austen book i ever read was persuasion.

it's not just austen specifically, though; i tend to dislike authors from before the 1900s anyway. i avoid the bronte sisters like the plague. ditto a lot of authors who i SHOULD'VE read, eg. twain, dickens, tolstoy, dostoevsky...
