... I hate it when you're tired but you can't sleep.

What's on my mind: Rogue Traders, and my Chinese assignment.

Rogue Traders has this lovely song called "In Love Again". imeem:

It keeps playing on the radio here. I've been listening to it, and Daft Punk's "Digital Love" ( under the cut )

school, languages, chinese, music

You, pick my brain when I am online for chinese phrases to use.

Endorphins are called 安多分, which is a phonetic translation. Melatonin is called 退黑素。

I'm serious, I am more than happy to supply words and proofread.

AN DUO FEN, ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS. XD I was sitting here thinking of a phonetic translation and came up with something completely ridiculous, like... YUN DUO FEI EN or something retarded like that.

I would love you forever if you could proofread my crap when I'm done. I mean, I already love you forever but I would love you for, uh. Forever times infinity? Swear to God I don't have the mentality of a six year old.

Pay me back by bringing me redskins and minties. Om nom nom nom.

Yeah, I like Digital Love :D It drags on a bit long sometimes, but the 'why don't you play the game' bits at the end make up for it.

I would make more blablas at you but I'm also in that can't stay awake but also can't sleep phase and it sucks and I can't put words together D:

Here, have this groovy picture I just found. It confuses me but I lawled anyway

I totally don't mind the fact that it drags. It's so cute and cheerful and relaxing that I could listen to it forever. :D

Eurgh. Well, I hope you managed to get some sleep between the time you posted that and... now?

Awrrrr. I have that picture. :D I also have a couple more like it. There's one where I think Reno and Rude are going up against a kitten in a box and the kitten's winning.

Bluurg I stayed up forEVER because I need to be awake in the evening tomorrow for things, so I wanted to stay up late enough to sleep at night/in the morning. I managed okay XP

"Ideally, I should have a third point to my argument. If any of you could think of something, it'd be hugely appreciated"
Hm...how about chemistry? I mean, do the teacher's teaching methods/way of thinking work with how the student learns best.
Does that sentence even make sense =_=;

One rl sort of example of this:
There's a teacher at our school who was teaching our class about making web pages. He seemed to find us all total morons and didn't seem to like answering questions much. Suffice to say, the class as a whole didn't much like him either.
However, when we were talking with some people from another class that basically specialices in computer stuff, they thought the teacher was pretty good.
So, maybe this teacher just likes teaching people who know something about what he's teaching already and thus don't make stupid questions. *shrug*

I think that falls under what makes a 'good' teacher-- it sounds like he wasn't a good teacher to you guys so you guys... didn't do as well? Or just really didn't enjoy the class?

I'll keep that one in mind, though-- I probably don't need to have that strong an argument for a presentation in a second-language class. :D Thanks heaps! ♥

Both, I suppose. :P

^__^; I know...it occurred to me as I was writing it that I wouldn't want to start explaining something like this in a language I didn't know quite perfectly.
