Howww did I guess that you'd actually like the song. =__=

Oh hey, I'm not saying that. XD I think it's great that she wants to try, too. (Assuming that 'try' means 'learn Chinese', as opposed to 'learn Chinese just to sing one song and then dump the language forever'.) It's so awesome every time I come across a Western-looking person and they open their mouth and spew out fluent lines of Chinese. I just wish she hadn't tried to sing it. DX

Randomly, lulz, I was like "YESSS" when she said "nu peng you". As opposed to "niu peng you". LOL, high school.

I don't dare listen to it much, dude. It, like the rest of Avril's songs, is ridiculously catchy. And I would rather cut my tongue out of my mouth with a pink plastic party knife than willingly go around singing, "AND HELL YEAH I'M THE MOTHERFUCKING PRINCESS" and "AND SHE'S LIKE, SO WHATEVERRRR".

My cowfriends, and the girls that people keep in farms outside to chop up and send to the markets so that they can be cut up further, cooked, drenched in black pepper sauce, and eaten like steak. ROFLMAO.

I don't get it. The girl in pink that the guy was going out with didn't look that bad. Hey, that would probably be me as a girl. And, wait a sec, why in that one scene would a guy be eating a HUGE phallic symbol made out of dough? Boggles me mind, it does.

You know what the feminism thing reminds me of? The one scene at the house in "Mary Poppins" with the chimney sweeps. You know, "Vote for wimmin! Step in time! Vote for wimmin! Step in time!"

Meh, I would rather see hot Asian guys doing DN cosplay, not girls.

I know, dude. That's what pissed me off about the MV. It's so horribly pretentious. Like "I am so much better than everyone else". Except that she's victimizing herself, so I can't really hate her properly. >.>; Damn it.

I've never watched Mary Poppins. Or, I did, but I was very ickle and therefore fell asleep. >.>

Pfft. I'm all for the cosplaying girls m'self. XP

I can't stop staring at the Near cosplayer's skin. *__* It's so perfect.

SLDNHDKF THE CATCHINESS. DX It totally happened that way with her second album, dude. My mom bought me a bootlegged version, I haaaated it on the first listen through, and then I made the mistake of listening to it again and I got totally hooked. Even though the songs were bad.

You too? XD And here I was thinking I was the only one with an instant mild distrust of men. I know it's terribly sexist of me, but... eh. *shrug* I do admit to being biased in that respect, but at the same time, yeah, I don't like most stereotypical girls either. And girls can be really downright bitchy when they want to, so I can't be totally pro-girl. XD;

LOL, don't apologize! I like ranty stuff. XD I agree, I can't see why some people are still chauvinists or so insanely feminist that they're all about flaming men. I know that men've been complete assholes to women in the past, but the past is the past and men are a lot better to women now than they were historically. We haven't ( ... )

I know a lot of girls who seem to have some distrust in most men, at least at first, some from.. really bad experiences, from as bad as rape or child molestation to as typical as bad past relationships. D: I don't seem to trust most men or women, though.. again, it's the stereotypical kind, usually, like catty superficial girls or sleazy guys with no respect for women.

I definitely think we're far from perfect equality.. if it seems bad in the U.S., look at other countries. D: But the main thing about feminism is that it's not just against sleazy guys who are very blunt with their disrespect for women.. it's also the subtle things that men and women do, such as thoughts about the sexes that have been ingrained in our culture. For instance, women still earn about 71 cents for every dollar a man works, for the same amount of work, and higher jobs are usually left to men. There seems to be this popular opinion that women must work twice as hard to get an equal job to a man, and that any women who show any skin are automatically sluts, ( ... )

About the ingrained thing: I do wonder if some women bring inequality upon themselves. I mean, if you say to any girl that the sexes should be equal, the girl is most likely going to agree. Yet if you give her a scenario where she's carrying a heavy bag and is walking with her empty-handed boyfriend and ask her if she'd expect the guy to take it from her, I bet a lot of girls would again agree. If the roles were reversed, though, the girl would probably not take the heavy bag from the guy. That just reinforces the whole "males are the stronger [superior] sex and women are weaker" thing.

Though I'd probably be one of those girls who lumps all her heavy crap onto the guys and then saunters off, ROFL. XDD

.. I just watched the video in full, and OMG it's so dumb and egotistical I want to cry. ;___; I feel bad for the red-haired chick. *gets music to drown the song out NOW*w

ROFLMAO, SO DO I. XDDD That's why I haaate the song. It made me so mad. Only thing is, Avril plays both roles, so I can't hate her properly. D:

... she does? Wow, I didn't notice that. o_O;; ... *blinks* Now I'm not sure what to think, but I still don't like the video. XD .. unless it's symbolic of two different parts of herself, then I might like it, but..

I doubt that it was meant to represent two parts of herself. D: I reckon she probably did it to have a laugh playing the dorky role, and to make sure that people don't get too pissed off by the video. Like, "Hey, don't hate me, I'm not a bitch! See, I'm beating up on myself! It's all in good humor!" Save for the part where the lyrics are basically all braggadocio and elitism and blahh. D:

Ah-ha, Avril's accent seeps into every language she speaks; not speaking Chinese, I can't understand how badly she mangled it... but then again, I remember her actually saying she was mostly drunk while she was recording the album, so that could always be it. xD

Her accent? XD Oh man, don't kill me, but I cannot distinguish between a Canadian accent and an American accent. It's actually okay after you've listened to it a few times, but I suspect that that's because my brain's numbed itself to the music. On first go it was like, "OH GOD THE HORROR".

Avril's accent is like, partly the exaggerated Canadian accent comedians put on when they want to emphasize THIS PERSON IS FROM CANADA, LOL and partly valley girl accent, which I didn't think Canadians could be exposed to. o_O

I really can't tell the difference. XD; And I haven't a clue what a valley girl accent is. What is that?
