Despite the very obvious chance at escape, Devon didn't actually want to think of his trip to Kansas as one. As Martha scurried into the kitchen, she could only thank her lucky stars that she'd sent Jonathan off to visit his best friend for the night. He certainly wouldn't take very well to his wife getting 'trashed' in their kitchen.

Devon let out a laugh and dropped his head, before standing up again and scratching between his brows. Taking a breath, he handed Martha her glass and leaned against the counter on which his sat.

"Star Trek?" he asked, less as a question of "was that just" and moreso because he couldn't believe a housewife from Kansas made Star Trek references. But of course, Martha was not just a housewife.
