What is Crime Crossovers 2007?
The Crime Crossover Ficathon is a fiction exchange where writers sign up to write a crossover based on the requests of another writer, and get a story written for them in return. The crossovers involve crime shows (Shocking, we know!).
Timeline:
18th June '07: Sign ups start.
16th July '07: Sign ups close.
23rd July '07: Assignments handed out.
30th September '07: Stories due in.
7th October '07: Pinch hitters get their assignments. Anyone who hasn't sent in a fic will have their assignment re-assigned.

Signing Up:
Sign up for the ficathon by commenting here, in the format outlined below. Comments will be screened so that requests are secret.
You must request 3 prompts, of which 2 must be crossovers between fandoms on the Master List, the third request may contain one or more wildcard fandoms (any crime fandom which is not on the master list), although you should be aware that requesting a crossover between two wildcard fandoms increases the chances of your assigned writer being unfamiliar with one or both fandoms.
Because of the nature of crime fandom it may be necessary to discuss undesirable activities such as rape/non-consensual sex; however, it is not permissible for submissions to include graphic depictions of such scenes.

1: pairing request e.g. Gil Grissom (CSI)/Elliot Stabler (Law & Order: SVU) (/ denotes a romantic relationship)
2: friendship/non-romantic request e.g. Temperance Brennan (Bones) & Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds) (& denotes platonic relationship and/or general interaction)
3: situational request e.g. Samantha Spade (Without A Trace) goes to work with/meets the characters from NCIS.
Your requests may consist of any combination of the examples we have given, i.e. all three as pairing requests, or two of one kind and one of another etc.
Maximum rating I wish to receive: NC-17
Fandoms from the master list that I am willing to write: SVU, Bones, NCIS, Without A Trace, Criminal Minds
Any other crime fandoms I am willing to write: Conviction, Close to Home, JAG, Psych
Maximum rating I can write: R
Anything I won't write: songfic, het
I am willing to be a back-up writer: Y/N (Saying yes to being a back-up writer is not a firm commitment; it merely informs us that you don't mind being asked if we need to.)
Completing your assignment:
Your completed fic must be 1,000 words long. You are only required to write one of the three prompts that you receive; however, if you wish to write more than one prompt you are more than welcome to do so (but at least one must be 1,000 words and completed by the deadline).
Please feel free to pimp the ficathon in any appropriate communities, but make sure it's permitted by the moderators first.
