Maya's gone. Looks like that trial's over, like it or not.

[[Private; hackable to uh, Aerith, Fate, Ginko, Kurogane, Lenalee, Mist, Nanoha, Soren, Tibarn, and Vivio Man Ike has a lot of close friends]]I hate to say this, but...she may be better off not here any more. With any luck she's back home, where she doesn't have to deal with this mess. I ( Read more... )

...There was a trial here? I've been working at the jail for a week and I didn't hear more than rumors...

Wait, what? Really? How long have you been here?

About two weeks.

...Hm. So you weren't around for the actual trial, but still. It's been the biggest thing on everyone's mind. And with a town this size, I'm surprised you went that long without hearing about it.

She is?

Her name vanished from the apartment registry. I'm afraid so.

Oh no...

It's good she went home, I guess, but a lot of people are going to be really sad.

Yeah. At least this way, though, she's not being accused of something she couldn't possibly have done.

I think it's clear. She was coerced into it.

crimeas_hero April 28 2009, 05:30:12 UTC
Yeah, but...who would do that? Why would anyone make her claim she did something that didn't happen?

laconicshadow April 28 2009, 10:28:25 UTC
Anyone, Ike. The prosecutor, so things go well for her. The culprit, to cover his own tracks. It's even more difficult to say now that she disappeared.

The prosecutor maybe, but the culprit? Of what? After everything I've seen and heard, I don't believe for a second that there was a murder at Memoria Apartments. If she was being forced, I'd think it's a personal grudge or something.

So she really had admitted to it, huh? Rumors around this place spread like fire. Tch.

If there is no way she could have done it and still kept claiming it, she could have been protecting someone or someone was using her.

Doesn't matter much now that she's gone if she was protecting someone else, but if someone was using the girl to try and cover up something else, this may have screwed up their plans at least.

Yeah. I still don't get why someone would make her admit to something that not only she didn't do, but nobody did.

That's bullshit.

Nothing we can do about it.

semper_fi_bitch April 28 2009, 06:17:05 UTC
Yeah, there's something you could do about it! You could do your fucking job and find the real murderer!

What, you think we haven't been trying? It's a lot easier said than done, you know.
