On September 11, 2001, two planes brought down The World Trade Center and stunned the world, changing life as we knew it. The War on Terrorism was born. Like many Americans, I can remember the exact details of where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news. Tragedy has a way of cementing the details in our brains. Weird how 9/11 became a turning point for us who live several states away from New York.

We happened to move from Ark. to Indy in August 2001. So soon after the world changed for us, it changed for everybody.

I would have to agree. That one event changed so many lives, not just the people who lost loved ones. It will never be forgotten.

It was a good thing. I found a better paying job with great insurance benefits only two weeks after I moved. (the first time I went looking)

I had forgotten what it was like to live near family. It has it's good points and bad, but I wouldn't change a thing. I'd rather be near them than miles away.

I had to snicker about the word "iconic" I've never thought of myself like that before.

I am much happier since I left the fandom scene. Too much unnecessary drama and craziness. *shudders*
