A long time ago I did this meme and now I'm going to do it again and see if any of my choices have changed. ozmissage made me do it back then, so I'm going to blame her again today.

List fifteen (or however many) of your favorite characters from different fandoms and ask people to spot patterns in your choices, if they're so inclined.Duke Crocker, Haven ( Read more... )

Looking at just fandoms I follow,

Kenzi, Hanna, Buffy, Veronica, Katherine, Kara, Octavia are all really strong female characters. They've all been through something extreme and have shaped them in to how they are.

Ethan Chandler is just <3333

But the same goes for the guys imo. so that would be Ethan, Jess, Max, Topher, Holder, Gale, Pacey, and Sawyer.

Always wanted to watch Carnivale.

Finding Carter is amazing, keep going :) and I need to watch more of Switch at Birth, too

You really should watch Carnivale.

I just started Finding Carter a couple of weeks ago. I'm trying not to binge watch it too much because I want to savor it. It's so good!

Yeah I'm not sure I recognize the patterns in the characters I love except when I list them all out this way. Their similarities are kind of striking actually. I also notice that a lot of the characters I like are "NO BS" characters, lol. Nobody drops a truth bomb like Hanna Marin.

Wow, Rayanne Graff. I haven't seen that name in many a day.

I think it shows you like strong, unpredictable women! Though why isn't Claire there? Hmmm . . .

I think you're pretty right about that, lol. Strong and also unpredictable. Now that you've said it, it makes sense!

I feel like I began writing Claire when the show was really fresh and young, but the show ultimately let me down. If I had to pick a female lost character it would be Kate. Her going back for Claire is the one thing that redeemed the show in those final seasons for me. Everyone else made the craziest decisions for the craziest reasons, or were not really given storylines (Claire).

Jacob saying "What ABOUT you?" all dismissive to Ben, and Kate going back for Claire. Show = redeemed because of those two moments, lol.
