But if I have to feel them then you have to feel them. Let's be fair now.
You don't have to go back, Jack. You can just watch 3x13 so you can participate in hiatus fic? Yes? No? Maybe?
I mean, he jumped into the barn with her. That's... that's PRACTICALLY like sailing away together on the Cape Rouge right? Only it's HER boat, not his.
God he emotes so well. I just need to cuddle him. (And apparently write fic -- but every time i think of doing it my heart just basically explodes.)
ACkkkk, such pretty gifs, lord. Audrey/Duke are so good together whyyyyyyyyyy.
Therefore, Nathan hooking up with Sarah is not only creepy in the way it would be creepy if some guy hooked up with Audrey's twin just because they look exactly alike (which is creepy enough on its own -- unless he legit had had enough time to fall in love with that person) but it's also creepy in that "Audrey can't actually consent to this" kind of way.
I definitely feel the same in regards to the Nathan and Audrey/Sarah thing. It does feel really skeevy. I cannot believe how much supernatural TV has found so many strange and new ways to portray rape ... and then pretend that it's not ~really rape.
Ugh, I loved Jordan. WHY DOES THIS SHOW HATE EVERYTHING I LOVE?
This is what I have been saying. Perfection. I tell ya.
Yeah when she was witnessing it she was basically like "o.... k... this is awkward and OH MY GOD." But then afterward Nathan gave his explanations and she just kinda handwaved it. Which is just like? What? Show? Even if she didn't see it as a consent problem, she definitely should have been more... upset, betrayed, creeped out? or at the very least LEFT OUT. Like, hey we finally hooked up and I wasn't even there to see it. IDK -- but it got glossed over. Scifi TV is SO BAD when it comes to this stuff. It makes me nutso.
Also, treatment of characters of color. (Haven, I'm looking at you specifically.)
Oh. AND treatment of women-not-named-Audrey. (Yeah this is specifically a Haven issue.)
