Yeah I agree with you about Lost kind of failing on the whole consistency thing. I think -- in a really boring way -- Hurley was probably pretty consistent lol.

Then we were doomed. YES We all are. And yeah it was probably about 6 eps for me too. I need to back and see what ep I started to realize how much I liked the show lol.

A big, fat WORD about Claire. There was a lot of potential, actually there was a lot of potential with all the female characters, that was not realized. The writers really dropped the ball on her s6 storyline, especially. It could've been epic, but instead it didn't make sense. I like Claire - mostly cause of Emilie - but I feel like we were never allowed to know her character.

I also agree about BSG/Leoben. He was a major part of Kara's SL and then he got shafted BIG TIME.

Also agree about TVD being so good. I didn't watch it at first because I was like, "The CW, really?" But constant good reviews got me to watch it, and the show is addictive/my current fav.

This, this, THIS! Gah. It burns me so bad. Alex could have been epic and they shot her in the head... and you can replace her name with a ton of other women on that show. (And take off "in the head.")

Oh, Leoben. I am so disappointed in how they completely ignored that. I was hoping for some deleted scenes or something but so far I haven't seen any.

Haha, the CW, really? That's a common reaction you'll hear coming out of my mouth. But I loved Life Unexpected and now The Vampire Diaries so... lol. I can't talk!

I was really looking forward to a Claire, Alex & Roseau friendship considering they all helped each other out, but that went nowhere. I hate how female characters are used to prop men up, and I blame that largely on the show having too many male and not enough female writers.

I think the actor playing Leoben had other commitments, so he couldn't film BSG, right?

I used to be like, "Ian, why would you do a CW show?" I thought it was like taking his career 10 steps backwards, but I enjoy Damon so I can understand why he'd want to play that type of character on the CW's best show.

You know, I loved Ben in season two, enjoyed a lot of his stuff in season 3, but by season 6 I was like why the fuck are you still here? It's just that shit that happens where characters outlive their relevance because the writers and/or fans are too attached to them and/or their actors, (see Charlie, Juliet, Locke, etc.) and I think with Ben this was actually a huge problem for the series as a whole because he had such an impact on every character/plot-line he touched. Of course by the end I was wondering why most of the original cast, particularly Sayid and (yeah, I'm a cliche) Kate, hadn't been put on a bus or killed long ago, while characters introduced later who had enormous potential, like Charlotte, Alex, Ilana, and pretty much any of the dead females, had been killed off prematurely.

Yes, yes, yes! It was a huge problem for the series as a whole. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
