Aww KC! You should so write this show more often because it sure sounds like you've got it down to a T! ;) Of course Ronon would be all deadpan about it, and Teyla thanking him for sharing it, and that first paragraph about Rodney's excitement over no mission. It's just all so perfect!
The last section is beautiful too. The switch to such a somber mood felt very natural and aww that last line!!

I love SGA holiday fic and this was a jem for it too, with lovely understated ship and other friendships/cultural sharing to boot. XD
