After the breakfast dishes were cleared off and Sophie made sure that Hardison and Parker were busy, that Nate turned to Eliot. He waited to hear the television actually come on before talking so they could talk in private. "So, do you have a way of contacting the people we need to talk to?" He asked. He waited for the answer as Eliot decided that it was time to clean himself. He was a bit amused that Eliot would decide to do such a thing in public, but decided against saying anything. "Eliot?" He asked, considering that Eliot had stopped and was just looking at him.
"I'm thinking," Eliot said. "If I did, it would be in my cell phone. But he's an old contact, Nate. Remember the time that I was working for that warlord's wife?"
"Yeah," Nate said. "And you got a piece of artwork for her."
"Well, he was another member of the detail," Eliot said. "Wanted to get away from home - turned out that he was a lot younger than he looked - but that doesn't matter. He had a talent. I taught him a lot of the things that I know."
"So your student became an equal is what you're saying," Nate said.
"Right," Eliot said. "Which isn't a bad thing. We could just go back to the cafe and wait for him. He knows what you look like and was questioning why I was helping you."
"One thing is wrong with that plan. You're a kitten," Nate said.
"Cat," Eliot countered.
"Kitten," Nate corrected. "A very surly kitten."
Eliot grumbled. "I don't see why - "
"Mad scientist," Nate pointed out.
"Damn mad scientists getting in the way of a perfectly good job and Parker..." Eliot grumbled until Nate started to scratch behind his ear. That just made Eliot go into a purr and stop his long tirade.
Nate continued for a bit before scooping up the Eliot kitten and heading for his jacket. "Eliot and I are going out."
"Can we come too?" Parker asked. "Please please please please?" She asked as she bounced in place on the back of the couch.
"She got into Hardison's soda," Sophie said. "And drank about half of it."
"She's cute this way," Hardison said with a grin.
"It is a good thing that you and Eliot are going out," Sophie said. "I'll keep these two in order." She smiled as she put the little piñata like toy on top of Parker's head. Parker just posed with it in happy mode before it fell off of her head and she dived off of the couch for what she now considered her toy.
"Just make sure that they don't wreck the entire apartment," Nate said as he put on his jacket. He made sure that Eliot was secure in an inside pocket before pulling up the zipper. He grabbed Eliot's cell phone before he walked out the door, not looking back as he heard a crash and then Hardison and Parker racing about at top speed.

"For the third time, you do not have his new number in your cell," Nate said to Eliot as he did look through the phone contact list for a third time. "You can either ask Hardison to look it up for you or you can wait until we see him again."
Eliot grumbled and thought about his options. They had been at the cafe for about two hours now. He had been able to get out of the coat to look around for Peter but he was nowhere to be found. He thought about the fact that they might have to wait even more - that wasn't the problem for him. He was used to being patient. It was the fact that he knew that he didn't want to spend any more time as a kitten. "Fine, ask him," he grumbled.
"Sophie," Nate said.
"I heard," Sophie said. "I'm looking through it as he's sleeping at the moment. And I have more sense than to wake up a sleeping kitten."
"It is only going to take a moment," Nate said to Eliot. He looked up and saw Peter Bishop walking towards him. "Don't need it."
"Good luck," Sophie said.
"Thanks," Nate said as he looked at Peter, who had come over to the table quickly. "Hello."
"Hello," Peter said before sitting down. "Why is one of the most wanted men in America sitting outside of a lab that is connected to the FBI?"
"If they really wanted me, I would be captured by now," Nate said.
"The agent I'm connected to says that you're protected on high by Interpol," Peter said.
"Sterling," Eliot growled.
Peter raised an eyebrow, considering that he heard Eliot. "Do I want to know why that sound came out of you?"
"Yes," Nate said as he took out the Eliot kitten and put him on the table.
Peter blinked. “Eliot?”
“Yes,” Eliot said, looking miserable.
“So I was right about your group being here to do a job,” Peter said. “But how can I help you? Other than having evidence that you did break into a FBI lab.”
“Help us by getting us back into human form and out of - well, kitten form,” Eliot said. “Also, why kittens?”
“It’s Walter,” Peter said. “He doesn’t make sense.”
“Is there a way to change them back?” Nate asked.
“Them?” Peter asked.
“There were two others with me,” Eliot said. “One of them a computer geek who would not shut up about the fact that there was little saved on the computer.”
“That’s not under his control,” Nate pointed out to Eliot. “Some people just don’t like using the computer.”
Peter smiled. “Exactly,” he said. “Well...I do know that Walter is not happy with the fact that you stole a file that he considers a part of his life work. So, a simple exchange. The file for being changed back.”
“Sophie?” Nate asked.
“Yes,” Sophie said.
“Deal,” Nate said with a nod to Peter. “When?”
“How’s midnight tonight?” Peter asked. “Walter and I will make sure that Agent Dunham and Astrid are out of the lab. That way you won’t get into more trouble than you already are.”
“A wise idea,” Eliot said.
“Meet here then?” Nate asked as he stood up and picked up the Eliot kitten.
“Yes,” Peter said. “See you in a few hours.”
“Thank you,” Nate said as he walked back to the car. He was happy that this was going to get over with sooner than later. He could tell Eliot was as well, considering he curled up on the passenger seat and slept until they were back at the bar.
