[Book searching time! After a quick search of books dealing with that sort of subject, there is an adequate example picture found. Lucrecia is holding it up now, and pointing to a picture of a street lined with trees, leaves all turning different colours.]

There. It doesn't always look like that, but it's still pretty to see.

Well... it's a long explanation. But, in a sense, the leaves are dying, and the trees go to sleep for the winter. I think... that's the best way to describe it.

Well... the trees and leaves and flowers don't like the cold. So, they sleep through the winter. When the sun comes back out, and it starts getting warm in the spring, they wake back up.
