[Cloud had been in the area, coincidentally. He had tended to come to the church often, feeling a sense of peace and nostalgia there. His footsteps could be heard echoing along the walls of the sanctuary until they come to a stop. His eyes were fixed upon someone that struck him as familiar. Her voice, her appearance...]

[Hesitantly Cloud approached her, not wanting to startle her as it seemed that she had just arrived. While he didn't feel at all endangered by her precense, he felt a sense of uncomfort at the same time. Mainly because of who she had broughten into the world...]

[She had been looking around the church, when a voice from behind her suddenly came. Lucrecia spun around, and looked at the man behind her curiously]

...? How do you...?

[Judging by her reaction, it seemed that she had made her arrival here previous to his own brief encounter with the woman.]

I've...met you once before. You wouldn't know though.

You've met me? [Lucrecia gave him a curious look, trying to figure out just how he would know her, or even had met her.]

It's a bit difficult to explain. Scientifically speaking it's more like an alternate universe that has a multidimensional convergence. It's a bit of an odd city...if you don't mind me saying. You may want to be careful.

Good to hear that you're doing all right...I guess the only advice I can give is to not think too hard on your death as..upsetting as it is.

I was expecting death. It's not upsetting. Not too much, actually.

An alternate universe...? Interesting. An afterlife that's really an alternate place in time. I didn't think these places actually existed.

[he stares for a long moment, not quite believing that she's here, she's here with him, and feelings of happiness and absolute guilt begin to mix violently in him, making the beasts clamor loudly. he tries to push it to the back of his mind, and raises a hand to reach out to her, before slowly dropping it back to his side.]

... Lucrecia? [her name is said very softly, as if he's barely daring to breathe at the moment.]

[Lucrecia knew that voice. She knew it very well. She could always hear it, no matter how quiet he was. Slowly, she looked to him.]

Vincent...?!

[Vincent pauses, simply staring at her for a while with a torn expression, before finally the tiniest of smiles works its way onto his face. he's not exactly happy about her apparently having died, too, but that can be asked about later.]

I... yes. You... [another long pause, before his cool and professional side gives in, and he walks over to pull her into a loose but loving hug.]

[He was smiling? That was something she wasn't sure she ever saw him do! The shock showed on her face, as she wasn't sure what to say to that.]

...? I...? [Her question was put on hold, as he hugged her. Another surprise she hadn't been expecting. After a moment of confusion, she smiled, and put her arms around him as well.]
