And the plot continues to thicken. I daresay, Karasu may be in for a rather rude awakening as Kurama seems to have a very protective drummer watching out for him. I love the Kurama/Hiei dynamic in this chapter. And I could picture the Karasu/Brui scene perfectly.... creepy and erotic at the same time!

YAYYYY BUI (you've made me discover the awesomeness that is Karasu and Bui)I could see the setting so clearly. It was fantastically written. And well. I squealed when I saw this was updated. It was totally worth it.

And that's about as deep as Hiei's going to get. Loved this: "He wasn’t in the habit of consoling others, they could sort their own shit out, as he did, he figured." So Hiei.

Amazing how Karasu can pull the life out of Kurama like that, but I guess it's easy for him when Kurama just keeps following his own demons. Hiei needs to step up his game if he wants to have any chance at all. Ohhhh...I'd love to see a Hiei-Karasu confrontation over Kurama, that would be SICK.

Last scene? The setting was written wonderfully. And Karasu and Bui's empty kiss is nasty and hot. And: NICE WIG KARASU.

Yeeeeah. I don't think Hiei is the consoling type.

Karasu knows Kurama's weakness, I suppose (his past). I figure since Kurama can be quite broody and more tentative than usual about 'attacking' when something in his past is brought up, he's describe his indecision as lacking drive. *Pokes Kurama* So hard to understand and portray him sometimes.

Oh shit. Don't you dare tell me he's tracking down Kuronue! Oh fuckfuckfuck! This story is getting too good for words. I absolutely loved this chapter. Sure, not much happened, but we got to see so far into our three main characters. Both the Kurama-Hiei and Karasu-Bui scenes were beautiful in their own right. Wonderful descriptions in the latter. I could see everything happening.

This line But Kurama seemed to have a knack for making sure he was well and truly beaten before striking back and solving the problem itself is such an apt description of Kurama, especially coming from Hiei.

I get worried about pacing multiple chaptered fics, so I'm glad that you found it interesting and still do at the sixth chapter. ;D
