Thank you. Yes! I knew the difference, but totally goofed in thinking that the Battle of Puebla was part of the war for independence, which it was not. That happened roughly 50 years earlier. Obviously, my memory from my Mexican American History class isn't as good as it once was. ;>

Oh no. Curiously enough, not ALL white people are this stupid...though clearly there's at least one on the staff of LJ.

Let me put it this way...if a Mexican pissed me off, and I posted with a tag labeled "fucking mexicans", how would YOU view that?

Reverse racism is still racism, and (at least in my book), 2 wrongs don't make a right, and never will, no matter how often it comes up.
