I guess Iguanas are kind of like dragons. Poor little Xena lost her tail. I always like your stories told through the eyes of your animals : ).

There are some iguanas that do look very dragon like. They have horns just above their noses and the spikes on basically all iguanas stick up. Very pre-historic.

Glad you liked it.

How old is Xena? What is the life expectancy of iguanas?
On the radio this morning, a zookeeper brought in a tortoise. I was enthralled. :)

Let's see, we got Xena as a rescue back in 2002. Then she was about 3 or 4 so now she is around 11 or 12 years old.

They do not know the full number of years that an iguana can live in captivity. For sure we think between 20 and 25 years is a good number that is known. But who knows now that they know more about how to ensure they get fed properly and stuff like that. So yeah, could be much longer.

Not a recommended pet but very cool indeed.

Thank you, it is very slow and we have had a couple of bad scares but now that she has a nice place to hide she is liking that and it will be good for the healing process.

Excellent! I love things written from an animal's point of view. Very, very good job!

I am glad you liked it. It will be interesting to see how many of the animals can tell a story from our household.
