Dawn lay on her bed, listening to her Drake Parker cd and talking to Janice on the phone.
“You’ll never guess what I just got.” Janice said.
“What?” Dawn replied.
“Two tickets to Drake Parker’s concert in LA.”
“What? No way. Please tell me you’re not joking.” Dawn said.
“I‘m not.” Janice replied. Dawn let out a happy squeal. “But there’s more.”
“More?”
“Yep I also got us two backstage passes.”
“Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!” Dawn shrieked.
“Gotta go. Mom’s calling.” Janice explained.
Immediately after she hung up, Dawn proceeded to freak out. She let out a happy, excited scream and pounded her feet on the bed. Oh my god I’m gonna meet Drake Parker. The Drake Parker. Dawn thought. A happy grin spread across her face. She’d daydreamed about him ever since she’d first seen him on TRL and she was actually gonna get to meet the subject of those daydreams. Yep Dawn was definitely a very happy girl.
