It's beautifully polished, I think I enjoyed each new part just as much as the last which is rare because normally you only like some parts of a story.
If he didn’t listen, he might end up really wanting her.
The other corollary is this: the rule reverses itself, in order to right itself, one way or another.
Because for pretty faces, you make exceptions.
Those lines just killed me.
Thank you for sharing :)

I did, however, flounder with who was who. I picked Fleur, and Cho, but my confusion about the rest did actually detract from my enjoyment a smidgen. In the last parts, I wasn't even sure that the "he" was always the same "he" and while I was struggling with that I couldn't be full enjoying the tension created. And I wanted to be! Because it was great tension!
Regardless, I really enjoyed it.

And, thanks for pointing that out too. Sometimes I forget the way I've constructed Roger in my head isn't how people would see him. In order, the first guy is a random older dude, the blond kid by the fireplace is Cedric (:|), then yes, there's Fleur and Cho and the dark curly-haired girl is, in my head, Penelope's younger sister, the pretty boy is Blaise, the blond angel is Justin Finch-Fletchley, and we're back to Blaise. :P Hope that helped. :|
