Whee! Mia is feeling at least a smidge bit better. I think sitting around for 14 straight hours yesterday consuming tea and (finally) reading the QC archives did me some good. Of course, now I have to actually suck it up and do some homework, like reading half of The Odyssey and more Parzival, but oh well. STUDENT LYYYYYFE, y'all

The QC archives are pretty impressive for the night-and-day change in art quality/style. Also I saw Jeph Jacques and Kate Beaton at SPX last weekend and they're awesome folks. Beaton had a line stretching halfway across the ballroom; that lady is going places. I'll show you the awesome sketch I got from Jeph whenever I get around to scanning it.

Also post-21 I've discovered that alcoholic drinks are a crock of bullshit; Alcohol tastes abominable and everyone either dilutes it with good-tasting drink so you can't taste it anymore and the only reason for it to be there is to get you drunk or just gets used to it so they can get drunk faster. I was all psyched for the wide world of booze and was gravely disappointed.

SPEAKING OF WHICH if the Joy you need to send a letter to is the one I'm thinking of, she was drunkposting in farsi last night and then popped into chat and proved she can indeed quote jabberwocky while drunk (apparently that was someone's sigquote for a while???). She's never drunkposted before so it was rather novel

Yeah, for sure. It's amazing even the changes that occur between him learning to make his characters look more...normal and actually making them have human proportions. Interesting.

Yeah, Kate was super popular at APE and had a line of at least 5 or 6 people through the entire day. I wish Jeph had been there, but I got a lot of good stuff and signatures nevertheless!
