Everything Sticks Until It Goes Away, and the Truth Is We Don't Know Anything

It took a little while, but here we are! Zoe and Mike and I had a faaaaabulous time, even though we didn't get complete front seats since the people who paid for the dinner tickets got those. We even got into the city early enough to totally help Zoe renew her passport and mail the hell out of her application to study in Japan this summer. Anyway, ( Read more... )

Okay

1) I recently discovered Code Monkey and I nearly laughed my ass off! I can't believe you are posting this! It's like weird fate/coincidence. Any of his other songs you would truly recommend for a new "fan"? Actually, I am more of an appreciator...

2) AMANDA FUCKING PALMER! XD SWEET!

3) Ice pecker.... *backs away, frightened, VERY QUICKLY!*

1) Oh man, what wouldn't I recommend? I love just about everything the Jo of the Co has to offer. I'd just say go to his site and download every song he has offered for free, haha. But if you truly want a more discerning opinion, let's see...as Paul and Storm said, every third song of his is about mad scientists and every other song is about love. So, if you're more interested in the mad-scientisty goofy-nerdy side of his songs, I'd recommend: Skullcrusher Mountain, The Future Soon (especially the acoustic-only demo if you can get it), Todd The T-1000, Re: Your Brains, Mandelbrot Set, Curl, and Chiron Beta Prime. For the love side of things (some of these are funny and some of them are not): First Of May, Someone Is Crazy, The Town Crotch, You Could Be Her, Madelaine, Soft Rocked By Me, I Hate California, and Not About You. I know that seems like a lot for a "truly recommend" list, but seriously. When I went through his song list and picked out all the songs that I couldn't live without on my iPod, I still ended up with 45 tracks ( ... )

I was there too! Great pics. The Etch-a-Sketch thing is a Tenori-on, and the thingy he used for Mr. Fancy Pants is a Zendrum. The song they're rocking out to is Creepy Doll.

Oh wow, I remember you! Thanks for the info, I'm not up on all this gadgety music stuff. It was such a great show, I'd love to see him again sometime.
