Humans can be very strong-minded... but at the same time they are very weak-minded.. They let feelings such as lust and greed take them over very easily "Hey this feels good, im going to keep doing it"
With that said you can see why things such as the 10 Commandments exist. Whether God made them or someone far wiser than most forseen how man-kind would be without even the simiplest set of rules or whatever the case may be. 'Im not going to steal or sleep with my friend's wife because I dont want to goto hell' whether you believe hell is there or not its a scary place that no one would ever want to. wwjd.
It gives people reason not to give into their wants.
And about Happiness, as a whole I would say its temporary, its just how humans think. even accomplishments are forgotten overtime.. or the feelings dont stay the same. The only thing that can rival this though is Love.. and for some it isnt all happy, but if there was eternal happiness it would ( ... )
