Just one prop. 8 link for today. As many of you know one of the center pieces behind the "yes on 8" ads was a law professor from pepperdine university (although they threatened legal action of the yes on 8 folks didn't remove their school's name from the ads). Well, a scholarly lawyer type person has responded in a nice, though not earth

I am hoping that one might get through to my parents (I emailed them with it - my dad is an attorney). I was appalled when I visited them and they seemed to want to vote Yes. I really can't say more it just shocks and saddens me.
I certainly hope that if it comes to pass, that truly more Californians are close-minded oppressive bigots, that what the author says is true and this cannot be made to change - based not it not being legal to write discriminatory code into our state's constitution.
I'm more worried about this prop than who becomes president.
