Drusilla slept restlessly, tossing and turning and twisting. She heard a loud rumbling, thunder in the distance, on the horizon, louder and louder and crashing toward her.

It was late evening when the motorbike roared up to the Manor. The figure in a black leather duster jumped off the cycle and sauntered up towards the Gate.

There. The thunder had stopped, and the winds had brought him to her door. Lightning, brash and bold and burning with a sharp, cracking fire. Drusilla smiled as she sat up.

It was time, then. She slipped out of her blood-red silk nightdress and into black velvet and lace. She forgot her shoes as she walked out the door and down the path, her eyes on him. Spike was waiting for her, calling for her, dark and angry and so very hungry.

"Silly gate," said Drusilla, rapping it sharply with her knuckles. "Haven't you any sense to open when my Spike comes to play?"

A slow smirk crossed Spike's face as the gate opened to reveal Dru behind it.

"Hello Pet. Told you I'd come back."

Drusilla's smile was wide, and more than a little bloodthirsty. "All fixed up right and tight?" she asked, though she knew the answer. She held her hands out to him.
