Hey man, back up off my grill

Well, it's 11:20 a.m., and I have a few more minutes before I have to leave for work for a couple hours. There are probably more constructive things I could do with this narrow window of time, but I figured I'd make an entry, seeing as they've been so scarce lately ( Read more... )

When do I get a turn to hang out with you and John Belon simultaneously?

Also, jesus christ, Ghouls n' Ghosts is such a hard game/series.

You get a turn to hang out with me and Belon whenever the occasion arises. Now that he works, it's a little more difficult, but certainly do-able. It's been a while since we've hung out at all, so we'll have to do that soon whether or not the Belon can join us.

Ghouls n' Ghosts is indeed hard, but it's also ridiculously fun and addictive. I think the one for Super Nintendo is harder than the one for Sega. Does it make me more of a man that I beat the Sega one in a single sitting--the first time I've played it in many years?

Fuck yes it does. I want to see this act of god performed the next time I'm at your house.

Maybe if I could just find my old Genesis it'd work with both controllers. I'll let you know if I find it. I know at the least I should be able to find ALTERED BEAST, which is simultaneously great, terrible, and hilarious.

If all else fails I probably have a working Sega Genesis controller you can use.

Jerk. Fuck you and your seeing musicals crap. Damn you and your crazy ass socially functional activities and all that crazy ass shit.

The problem doesn't seem to be with the controller. We tried 4 different controllers in the 1st slot, and they all have the same problems; you have to wiggle the cord around to just the right point to get it to work properly, and then it malfunctions frequently--at random, or if it is moved at all. However, the second controller port works fine. Never having encountered such a problem, I don't know what the eff to do.

I'm sorry for being actively social. :'(

Not really. Being my friend, though, you're always invited if you care to join the "crew" as long as you're not sleeping from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. I beg you (and Steve, for that matter) not to be hesitant to call or IM me if you feel like hanging out.

It sounds as though it is perhaps missing a pin or some pins may be bent inside the port itself.

Which, if they're bent, is easily fixable but risky (use tweezers or something and straighten it, being exceptionally careful). If a pin is broken, that sucks mega balls.

The problem doesn't seem to be the pins. If any were bent, I wouldn't think they would fit in as normally as they do. If any were missing, I would think I would be able to tell. Looking at them, they don't seem rusty, dusty, dirty, or whatever.... Hence, the mystery.

I will agree that it sucks major balls that your Sega is broken (for now, at least). We still need to have our big Sonic battle sometime though, I am so excited for that day.

Beauty and the Beast was so, so great. I thought it was so amusing. I'm really glad to now hear that you enjoyed it so much also, I was hopeing this would make up for the Phantom sucking so hard....Also, I am glad that you were okay after becomming so enraged after getting lost in the jungle of Pittsburgh! Haha, I love you so much and I am so glad we can do things like this together. You're great :).
