Maybe you should focus more on photography than on writing? It seems like you really enjoy photography and all the pics I've seen from you have been gorgeous!

Also on the boy side, I think it sounds like a good idea for you to just be single for a while. Figuring out what you want for yourself, life, etc is definitely important. :) I'm in the same boat as you. *sigh* And it's even harder with the way things are in America, with the economy and all. Bah.
