Oh the jobs of a PA. I have had some crappy PA jobs...like babysit things like you. But then I have had some wonderful ones. Like being promoted to Grip/Electric and lug around cable and distrill boxes and lights and other crap. I was sore, covered in mud and dead by the end of the week, but I learned a TON so it was awesome.
And an 11hr work day...that is like AMAZING. The last shoot I did, where I was grip/electric, I think the shortest day we had was a 12 hour day and then the longest was a 17 hour day. And that is just the work part...I slept pretty much the whole day after the shoot was over.
But I LOVE LOVE LOVE being on the set. Makes me soooo happy, even if I am doing crappy jobs. This is why I am a film major...and also why I need to figure out how to be an editor and on the set at the same time hahaha.
