Difficult choice, when it comes to mere appearance. If I were going to make a hobby of car shows, I'd choose the Hudson. Otherwise, the practical side of me would win out and opt for the Jaguar.

Without even looking.....the Jag.

It'll be easier to find parts. Even with the intarwebs.

yes styleing..definatly..
but reliability..um-it's a Jag..I think the Hudson actualy beats it here..no 'prince of darkness eletrical system'..tho the guy 'says' he fix that ( I do not think he completely re-wired it tho..)

DUH!!! The Hudson! I can't believe you're torn over this. Wait. is this a family car, or a project car? If it's family, then the jag, project, the hudson.

You gotta love the perspective of a Mo' Town girl..well..it can be both in my family..( Beth has the Volvo..)
Jag is modern..and nice...the Hudson is different...retro...
going to a Goth club in either would be nice ( I think the Hudson would turn more heads..)
Beth could join the VooDoo Dolls all girl car club..
..I think Jags are lovely tho...
and both go into hyperdrive when you step on the gas...( the Jag has the new generation V8, the Hudson has the super 6 308 moded to 353 with the 'tri-power' triple carbs ) I think the power to weight ratio of both cars is about even..amazingly enough...

AUGH!!

The Hudson will be harder to get parts for, but I believe you can substitute parts. And the jags had so many electrical problems back then. My vote is for the Hudson.

The Hudson sounds much cooler, although perhaps that's because I know nothing about them or how fixable they are. Decades ago, Jaguars had a bad rap for being super-finicky to repair. Back in the 70's, I knew some folks who owned a sedan and did their own repairs. It definitely fell into the Brit-sport-car engineering mindset. If you could fix it, you won. If you couldn't, the engineer won. They were working on the brakes. It was possible to put ... something... in backwards. It didn't work that way, but it fit. Whether that still applies, I don't know.
