I think you exaggerated the link between Akito and the cursed ones: we know they can resist Akito (Haru proved it). But you're right about their inner struggle: how they don't want to follow Akito but can't resist without being hurt, how they feel both love and hate towards their god.
Tohru is... well, Tohru. Her pitying Akito is not shocking at all when you know the girl.
Actually, the thing I liked the most in this chapter was Hana: I was sure she would try to defend Tohru against Akito the psycho but things turned so badly, I can't wait to see the consequences of her attack and what role Kazuma is going to have.
Wow! Your story was great! I felt my heart skip a beat as I read on. You made Akito so much like the way he was in the book! I could see in my mind your story in manga formation. Thats how cool it was.
