I have masterd stranded knitting. Woo Hoo! That's the type of knitting that you use to make pictures or words or have blocks of one color in the middle of the project. It involves lots of little balls or bobbins of yarn that you have to keep untangling and lots of ends to weave in at the end,(boo hiss) but it is really easy. Well done, it looks great!

I can do that kind of colour work, but I'm not so good at fairisle. I'm usually a very fast knitter, but I have to knit fairisle very slowly otherwise I pull everything too tight across the back.

I've only done sort of two-colour fairisle, a red jumper for my other half that had a band of pattern in black, and a white cardigan for myself with a blue snowflake pattern. I wouldn't even TRY those really multi-coloured fairisle patterns, way too fiddly and fancy for my tastes, but I like two-colour, it can be effective. I prefer cables and lace patterns though.

I love cables, they look so fancy, but are really easy to do. I havn't attempted clothing yet, mostly dishcloths, purses, & a few toys. I've only been knitting a few years.
