Well, initially I was completely confoozled by my Book Quiz results, but as I contemplate what I am about to post, it makes a little more sense.

I was just going to say that I like winter, and although I know the ice storm was not pleasant for most people, the resulting landscape is quite beautiful.

I certainly might be, although I am not in the least interested in Turkish Delight, at least not now that I know what it's made of and what it actually looks like. Blech.

A student in my department who is from Turkey brought back some genuine Turkish Delight a year or so ago. I picked up a cube of it that was around an inch on each side and could only finish it because putting it back in the box or throwing it away would have been rude. It was the most godawfully sweet thing I've ever eaten, and not in a good way. I eat brown sugar right out of the bag and I like orange marshmallow circus peanuts and Peeps and I could barely eat this thing. I don't understand how Edmund can gobble it down. I'd be sick to my stomach after the second one.

thanks! I took about 50 photos in 10 minutes while Eva was down for a nap, and I was just praying for one good one. The rest are all just, well, ice on trees.
