OH NO! Not the pretty mouth!!!

Mar 30, 2013 23:06

To my horror, my sweet hockey player was hit by a 90-mph flying puck today, right on his mouth.

He just cannot catch a break!   So of course he lost a few teeth and had to have surgery.

How horrible.
I hope he will recover quickly.

So do I. It's so unfair... after nearly 2 years of being off with concussion problems and with a lengthy union lockout, he was doing so well and finally seemed healthy. I feel for him, for his parents who must be so worried for him, and for myself who will be missing him all over again.

Do they not wear mouth guards.? It's sometimes a violent sport.
So many injuries.
He sure has had his share.

Indeed. I cringed when it happened... it's awful to watch and of course they play it over and over during the game. It happened at the very start!

How rude! Like you needed a reminder of the horror.

Oh, Rose, how awful!! Poor Sid. That must have hurt like hell, and how horrible to lose teeth. :( So what will they do now, implant new ones? I can't believe you saw it happen. *cringe*

Saw it happen? A gazillion times, cuz they just had to play it over n over during the whole game! And this happened 90 secs into it. :( You could actually see the teeth flying out and then he did this spinarama thing and fell to the ice, bleeding. Awful, and painful too, I'm sure.

He had to have surgery, he has a broken jaw. I miss him. It's going to be a long month or so...

Funny, I just commented on your post. :)
