er... BUH?!!!
I don't belive I mentioned here that I got a commendation in a national Graphics Competition (go here, scroll down to 'Feel Good')
my winning work was 3 little annimations I did by hand, with plastecine
animation 1 on Youtube
animation 2 on Youtube
animation 3 on Youtube
anyway... being one of the winning commended entries means that my work gets put into a book which is sent to hundreds of universities and businesses all over the country, I get a snazzy certificate, and a display of my portfolio work including the annimations will be shown in a HUGE EXHIBITION. HERE!!! um... someone pinch me now?
ALSO (as if that wasn't enough...) This was in the email they sent:
"As a core part of the recent Awards we are also looking to arrange for each Commended entrant to receive a tailored professional development opportunity with a relevant agency/organisation; this could be, for example, a placement, freelance project or a portfolio critique. To help us it would be great if you could let me know:
--The creative areas that interest you professionally (feel free to be as general or as specific as you like).
--Where you will be geographically for the last week of August and the first week of September (anywhere in the world). "
I'm going to try very hard not to get my hopes up but I am so excited/terrified right now! ^__^;;
