Prompt: It turns out that Eames has a kid from inception_kink. Between the two of them they manage to make it more complicated than that, and Arthur is lost without a map. (In other words, my annoying tendency to take on fluffy/cracky prompts and get far too invested in the whole thing continues.)

This was so adorable! First there was angst and Eames being stupidly self deprecating and then there was Samuel and the boys being a little happy family. I think I got spontaneous cavities from reading this.

GUH, MY HEART. IT DIED AND REVIVED AGAIN FROM THE ASHES.

This is so beautiful and oh my god my heart was breaking the moment Arthur got that call from Alice. I mean, guhh. This is even more heartbreaking than any Arthur with a child fills, because it's Eames, and it's Arthur for Christ's sakes!

I am terribly mean to Arthur, sorry :/ I did break him an awful lot to get to where I was going. But on the upside, I think Eames is a better father than he thinks he is, and, well, I personally believe that children just love Arthur :D

Mmm, yes. Children are an awful lot like cats - they invariably pick the best-dressed, too-polite/unnerved-to-shove-them-off person and cover them in dirt. Except kids make you happy to be covered in dirt, and cats do not. And Arthur secretly looks at pictures of small animals being cute on the Internet, and they can sense it. So they have both the pleasure of being contrary and mussing him and the acuity to sense that he is sekritly a giant pile of mush where small adorable things are concerned!

Which is all to say, yes, yes, and I cannot say how much I love silly Eames with his adorable kid.

Awesome! Love how in-character everyone is, and how Arthur and Eames start off casual and then gradually get caught up in each other. Loved Arthur having to wear one of Eames' shirts, and the line about Cobb's baggage tearing your skin off in strips. Ace!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I couldn't do a morning after scene without forcing Arthur into Eames' clothing. I'm only human. :D Several prompts/fics have gotten it into my head that shade!Mal hates Arthur, and does terrible terrible things to him. OH COBB. YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS, IDEK.
